ICE impersonator attempts armed robbery—this time a Texas couple shoots back.

Wife saw it happening & ran outside weapons drawn—suspect literally jumps out of his shoes in fear.

Husband drew his own weapon & fired multiple shots—at least 1 hit.

He did end up at a hospital, but charges have still yet to be filed.

"The police told me I did a great job," he said.

The masked man holding gun & flashlight wore a vest with the word "marshal" on it.

He was attempting to rob Javier Reyes outside his store in Houston, Texas.

I’m a 66 yo woman living in Texas. I own a Glock 9mm and am very tempted to start carrying because of all this crap You have no idea who’s a LEO and who’s not… and ICE is behaving in an authoritarian laws be damned method . Times are INSANE.

8. I recommend you do some serious gun handling training before needing to use your pistol.

Just doing a few sessions in a firing range will make you feel much more comfortable with operating the weapon. Otherwise it might not be able to be used in the way you hope to.

15. Great advice

I’m a multi generational Texan and have been around and used guns since I was a young kid. The decision to bring one into my home was well thought out…The decision to carry will be just as difficult. If you carry a gun you’re deciding if you pull it out and point it at someone.. you are prepared for that person to NEVER get up again. I like you do not advocate novices having guns.

9. If someone identifying themselves as a cop, especially...

someone in plain clothes, orders you to do something, demand to see their badge.

If they won’t show it, you are pretty much justified in ignoring their orders. If they have a gun drawn on you and won’t show a badge, you are justified in doing what you feel you need to do to defend yourself.
