Has RFK Jr. destroyed any possible Kennedy family member's political future?

I really thought the 3rd and 4th generation of Kennedys might have a chance to carry on the legacy of John, Robert and Ted Kennedy in the future. However, I wonder if Bobby Kennedy Jr. has ruined the family name forever.

that the early ones did.

The one from Massachusetts that ran against Markey did but he made a mistake with the timing and should have waited.

And nobody sees this fool and thinks he represents the views of other family.

His only arguments for his replacing Markey were that he was younger than Markey and he was a Kennedy.

Everyone is entitled to their own take - but I think people are perfectly capable of taking things on a case by case (and candidate by candidate) basis. And, truth told (again in my opinion) - the last 30 years or so have seen 'name cachet' pretty much fall off the map. And I think that is true not only for the Kennedy name - but for a lot of other names as well. Hard to think of too many that are making real names for themselves (beyond the small handful of usual suspects Cheney, McCain .. Huckleberry .. )

I think he is seen as someone who went off the rails....I don't see his family publicly clamoring to support his crazy ass.

Or there may be other Kennedys in office. There’s that Louisiana GOPer Kennedy, even if he’s no near relation.

I don't want dynasties or cults of personalities in our politics if they can be avoided. No thank you.

but the Kennedy name no longer carries any weight with me. I look at at the younger Kennedys with great skepticism. The Kennedy magic is long gone. Bobby Jr was just the last nail in the coffin.
