Snip

The crowd filmed the mask-clad men — who were with ICE, the Department of Homeland Security, and the private security company G4S — and shouted “Fuck you Nazis!” and “Get out of our fucking city!” as the agents backed the van into the headquarters.

Snip

Plainclothes ICE agents and security personnel from G4S — a London-based multinational security company — escorted the detained migrants in front of news crews, patted them down, removed their jewelry and earrings, then led them onto a pair of charter busses parked at 800 Dolorosa Street.

Thanks for mentioning it.

There are so many good, qualified cops all over the US. Why doesn’t ICE advertise these positions and hire the best?

I’m concerned about what background checks are run, what training is offered, physical fitness, firearms training, and more.

So we’re spending taxpayer money to hire sole sourced (means no bidding) companies from who knows where to hire these folks. Why are we paying a middle man?

Why can’t ICE hire these folks, pay them a decent wage, provide benefits, and provide training programs?

Instead we get a bunch a guys dressed in who knows what ill fitting clothing, with no ids/lanyards, no chest cameras, wearing masks?

But most importantly who oversees these contract bounty hunters? Who provides required oversight information to Congressional Oversight Committees?

A private army of brown shirts are running amuck on American streets. Wow!
