Nothing says "flawless and effective" like misspelling "effective."

(13,957 posts)They clearly were, and sometimes in sequence. The discussion has always centered around whether a single such sortie (which was clearly articulated prior to mission) would be sufficient to cause permanent and program ending damage. That was, and still remains, an open question. The intelligence message and base level evaluation - has remained absolutely consistent - before, during and after.
The hue and cry going up from the administration now - is about defending the president's typical employment of half-truth and hyperbole. The mission did what it did. And the president will not be cheated out of his, absolutely predictable, braggadocio and self congratulatory victory dance. It is entirely about that ego - and the protection of that ego. And now the entire administration must be turned to the protection and defense of that fragile sense of ego and accomplishment. (Peace Prize anyone ?) But, it really has nothing to do with the actual 'mission' as carried out by armed forces.
