I have no facts to back it up. It is only a theory.

But, the US did not bomb Iran.

Israel did.

Why?

Because, they did not want to stir up the passions of the region anymore than they already are so Trump and Netanyahoo came up with the plan. Israel's fingerprints would not be on the bombing but they were more strategically located to do it than the B2 bombers in America.

That is why Trump did not know what he was going to do, when he said, "Nobody knows".

I will repeat. This is just a theory. There are no facts to back it up.

This is just a post to say, don't believe everything you hear and half of what you see.
