Senator Adam Schiff

This is the guy that I admire for his skills in making speeches. I don't know if he writes the speeches himself, but if he does, then he is doubly blessed. He is 65 years old, looks younger, IMO, and should be around for awhile.

He sure is making himself useful. He is speaking out on the Senate floor in many speeches, telling it like it is. He is doing a tremendous service to our side. He is speaking out in protest, but in a controlled way, making sense, presenting information to us so that we can know the truth---that being a relative thing, but nonetheless important to consider. He is a persuasive speaker.

We wanted more senior or iconic Dems raising their voices in protest. Well, here is one guy doing it. We have but a handful of Dems who are fired up in protest of the fascism that is taking hold. I don't think it hurts to keep a laundry list of our guys who are fighting against Trump, et al. I think there is a measure of danger for them with retaliation, and I admire them for doing their duty and upholding the Constitution. They are fighting the good fight, and deserve commendation.

We are going to win this fight!

3. Thank the Goddess he is not up for reelection until 2030.

At 65 he could be considered old and in the way and need to step down to open a path for the youngsters to take over.

I like him a lot and he was an asset to the J6 hearings. And I love how he gets under trumps skin as he calls him Shifty Schiff.

He does NOT come across as “old.” Far from it, in fact.

Of course he does not come across as old! However age seems to be a huge new talking point now.

Step aside for the new kids on the block.

I want young people to join the party and learn how important it is to vote in every election! I want them to learn how much work it takes to get a bill passed.

8. Young people are ALWAYS welcome to intern for members of Congress

My brother once interned for a Congressman from Michigan while in his teens, and before either of us had ever set foot in Michigan. You can learn a LOT that way.

After the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton and Howard Dean got together and tried to set up an organization designed to recruit young Democrats to run for office. It was not smooth going.

Meeting Adam Schiff was an unexpected highlight. I was having lunch with Senator I know in the Senate restaurant/dining room at the Capitol, expecting to see all sorts of people I’d recognize, but somewhat let down, because there was no one. But then Schiff and Padilla walked in, and Hick didn’t let me down. He walked me over to their table, introduced me to them both, and Senator Schiff asked me for my card!

Never been prouder of him as my rep than when he led the first impeachment. I’d look forward to his closing statements at the end of each day of hearings — he’s a great orator. Oh, and his wife’s name is Eve 😀
