I'm still a proud liberal. An old school liberal if you will.

I never abandoned my values, beliefs, or liberal label just because Republicans have spent decades trying to tarnish it.

I still believe in the same things I always have. Individual freedom. Individual liberty. Equal justice for all.

I posted an opinion piece earlier today that has been on my mind.

People are not looking for someone moving more in line with the right. They are looking for fighters who bring back our values, beliefs and what we are fighting for.

It comes from my diehard Democrat dad.

Thank you for the kind words - generous even. Liberally given.

Thanks for making me happy in this parasocial world.

👍

Not neo-liberal.
Although I'd vote for a neo-liberal over any Republican.

Think Eleanor Roosevelt who was even past FDR. Paul Wellstone. Shirley Chisholm. Ron Dellums. Sen Bobby Kennedy. Jamie Raskin. Elizabeth Warren. Kamala Harris. Biden, at times.
I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch!

As I've grown older maybe even partly progressive. I like our young Dems.

Me, Too!!!!!
Learned at my Granny's knee.
I find myself diametrically opposed to ALL their platform (?).
It is WRONG. There is no argument.
There are no gradations of WRONG.
It is WRONG because it's WRONG.

Thank you for being You. It brought Joy to my Life to read your post.
Stay With It!

Lauren Bacall defined liberalism as:

"being a liberal is the best thing on Earth you can be. You are welcoming to everyone when you're a liberal. You do not have a small mind"
