Old man in a MAGA hat.

I went to drop off a package at my local UPS store, and an older man with a cane wearing a MAGA hat carrying an Amazon return package was in front of me.

Rather than getting angry, I met up with him outside, smiled, and said, "you're going to want toburn that hat in the next year."

He stared at me blankly as I got in my car and left.

I think many MAGAts are going to feel the pain in the next year.

But it will take more than a few videos of ex-MAGAs defecting to convince me. It needs to be a large enough number to win elections. Otherwise the right-wing echo chamber will blame any bad news on the Democrats, or Biden, or Migrants, or China, or whoever is the villain du jour on Faux News. Their intellect and attention span is below that of a field mouse

even if they're unhappy with Trump...

I think the best case scenario is, that even MORE of the magats will fail to show
up to vote in the midterm, as usually fail to show up when Trump isn't on the ballot...

and a few of them may get angry enough with Trump and "the big bill" Republicans
to actually vote against them--- but most of those flips will probably be independents.

An old man with a cane. You may have scared him.

He probably didn't know what the heck you were talking about, or why a total stranger would confront him at the UPS store.

fine without it. That got the attention of the maga I dealt with in a Dr.’s waiting area. One of the staff saved me by saying you can wait in this other room and would you like some water. I think she was simpatico

Even though we live in a Republican congressional district in an eastern suburb of Dayton, Ohio, we rarely see anyone wearing a MAGA hat any more. I think it's been three to five months since I've seen one. We still see the occasional Trump flag flying from a pick-up truck's bumper or a worn bumper sticker, but that's about it.
