Interesting paragraph from Heather Cox Richardson in today's Letters from an American

I haven’t been following the story of the Alcatraz of the Everglades , but she reports :
“ Inspections will be hard to conduct at the newly approved detention facility deep in the Florida Everglades designed to house up to 5,000 migrants. Members of the state legislature say they were not consulted about the plan. Florida says the new facility will cost about $450 million a year to operate. The federal government will reimburse that money through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). “

Florida is a mystery state. Somehow they'll get federal funding for disasters.

The Florida administration is so corrupt that they will keep 9 out of every 10 dollars disbursed and distribute as graft around DeSantis' circle. With FEMA under the control of corrupt Trumpies, there will be no audits, since they will be skimming 35% off the top to begin with. It will be a miracle if the actual facility receives 6.5 cents on every FEMA dollar. A lot of people are going to die there.

How many billion dollars is this anti-immigration fiasco going to cost ius?
And what are they going to do with all those facilities after they've deported all 15 million of these people? Who's going to be housed in them?
I'll let you guess.

Then destroy the roads in and out after tripling the Gator population and taking their clothes and shoes. FEMA dollars well spent.
Deplorable is a thing.
Something positive for which to Vote.

It's a concentration camp
A place to detain people in overcrowded conditions against their will through violent arrest without due process, without oversight, or press access.

How convenient for ICE/DHS.
