The president’s outburst follows a leaked intel report saying Iran’s nuclear program was only set back by a matter of months.

President Donald Trump lashed out at “scum” who revealed his much-championed strikes against Iran were likely far less effective than he claims.

Speaking at a NATO summit in the Netherlands on Wednesday, Trump also conceded that the report from his own intelligence community was “correct,” even while continuing to insist that his strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities caused “total obliteration” and having previously dismissed the report as fake news.

“CNN is scum, MSDNC is scum, the New York Times is scum. They’re bad people, they’re sick,” Trump raged Wednesday at a press conference in the Netherlands, where he is currently attending a NATO summit.

“What they’ve done is they’ve tried to make this unbelievable victory into something less,” Trump went on. “The generals and all of the people who did a good job, they get demeaned by these idiots at CNN, who can’t get ratings. The place is dying, nobody even wants to waste their time going on any of their shows, so they form what [sic] The New York Times, which is dying also. Without Trump, you wouldn’t have a New York Times.”

18. The problem is that Israel has its own intelligence and Iran knows what happened

Israel's future actions and claims will be based on their intelligence. So, consider how they likely react to the scenario that everything was obliterated vs it's a three month set back. I think it would be different.

Under the former, the US and Israeli attacks between them, killed Iranian generals and scientists and damaged the facilities. Only time will tell if any of them were irreplaceable in their jobs. It may be that losing those people will have more impact than the physical damage.

However, we now enter a period where Iran, in all likelihood will work to restore their program and they could make the decision to go for a bomb. A year from now we could be in a worse place. If Israel thinks that after all the attacks, Iran is only 3 months further from getting a bomb than before how long will they wait before attacking agai

For Iran, the failure of 12 bunker bombs to do more damage than they did might be a victory for them creating the facility in the mountain. Though Iran was the weakest of the three countries, the regime likely will use the fact that they survived with their program "intact" to declare a victory. One thing of great pride to Iran is that they were never conquered or occupied. The pipe dreams of some of the Israeli media and neocons here that this results in regime change are just that.

Through his authoritarian buddy channels, Trump learned that a ceasefire was being negotiated and may go through. He threw the switch on Operation Touch-of-Sh*t trying to get out in front of any ceasefire due to the fact as we all know Trump is the bride at every wedding, corpse at every funeral, and grand marshal at every parade. (in his mind)

He and his sycophants at the DoD cobbled together a half-assed plan that included a large helping of TACO. Deep holes were blown in the desert. The B2's attack profile was compromised to our enemies at the same time. Who knows what other operational details of how the US military works were exposed.

The whole operation was built around the news cycle occurring late on a Friday, news dump day.
