Maybe old guard DEM establishment should not backing candidates voters don't want

The DEM old guard establishment has long backed candidates
that voters do not want.

Like HHH
Hubert Humphrey.

Humphrey was a good man, BUT he NEVER NEVER EVER should
have been the DEM candidate for President in 1968.
Humphrey was never going to win in 1968, too much of a war candidate.
