3. I'm betting there is a VERY simple reason for the masks.

Namely--the ones wearing them are NOT federal agents. They are private contractors (Jan. 6 types, etc.) who, if they do anything really evil and illegal caught on video, the government can say, "they weren't ours."

Maybe literally speaking, they weren't. But the ones that recruited and sent them were, and they are just as guilty.

I think it likely many of these people were unwilling to put on a mask during the early stages of the Covid pandemic.
