@AOC
Mr. President, dont take your anger out on me - Im just a silly girl.
Take it out on whoever convinced you to betray the American people and our Constitution by illegally bombing Iran and dragging us into war.
It only took you 5 months to break almost every promise you made.

(12,805 posts)is EVERY Dem to start blitzing the Republicans every chance they get, not just AOC and Bernie, and a few others.
With the Republican Oligarchs owning and/or operating almost every single Media in the U.S. it is an uphill battle to be heard, but the Dems in the House and Senate should launch a tsunami of truth and reality every day, every chance they get......

(393 posts)Just read the last couple of posts. Would anyone in their right mind be posting this shit? When is the media going to wake up to this? How can anyone take this seriously? If anyone other than him was posting this nonsense, they would be committed. The 25th amendment was written for these times, but nothing will be done. We are all fucked.

I'm traveling overseas next month, and I'm genuinely worried that I'll be less safe because a bunch of people made a huge mistake - one I didn't make - this past November.

(25,383 posts)Al Green introduced articles of impeachment today. This vote technically wasnt for impeachment itself, but whether or not to vote on it at all. (23,350 posts)then voted to table it for further discussion at a later date. This is not the same as voting to not impeach at all, just to not move forward at this time.
Besides, Al Green will file another one in a couple of weeks. He has said he will continue to do so what with a new set of impeachable offenses every day

(2,684 posts)and I would always end my grievances with something like that line.
"Thank you for your kind attention to this matter."
It was a way of seeming less confrontational in a matter that was by its design, was a confrontation of sorts.
Anyway, that's why I used that phrase. I have no idea why Adolf Trump uses it.

(19,829 posts)When I worked in the corporate world, and would get one of those emails that ended with "THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR COOPERATION," I saw RED. I hated that nonsense, that passive aggressive sort of "Because if you DON'T COOPERATE" inference.
It's also that "THE GREAT AND POWERFUL OZ HAS SPOKEN" thing, a "mic drop," what Trump sees as a dramatic finish to his display of raw power, rather than looking and sounding like a complete dork.
Pototan
(2,684 posts):Thank you for your kind attention to this matter." Was a way of demonstrating that we're both just doing our jobs, union and management.
Too often, the managers would take a grievance personally and that would make it more difficult to settle. And by not settling, the grievance took longer and would become more expensive for both sides.
The way a contract works, is that I need to convince the other side I'm correct. If I couldn't, we would need to go to arbitration and then I need a lawyer. In order to do my job, I needed to make sure the employee (union member) was satisfied with thee outcome and achieve that without arbitration. Very few instances were black and white, where the member was right and the manager wrong, or vice-versa. That grey area was within the settlement and I needed the other side to keep an open mind.
