Got car and phone fixed, took a breath and said to myself, " ok I got this, everything is working"
Uhm , nope, since then,
Bedroom tv gone, couch legs, crumpled when I sat on it, so sat down in my recliner, CRACK, oh a particle board, seat support, yes , particle board, snapped. BTW , I struggle to keep at 200 pounds,
I'm paying too much money, at "reputable " stores,
For all my basic needs.
I'm just tired of over paying for all my needs,( phone, car, furniture, food, etc) from , supposed, American owned companies.
I'm going full local,
I'm done complaining, I'll help call when I can

(92,563 posts)You might be able to replace them from a hardware store. That or just a few blocks of wood.
Sorry, Koz, I know things are tough on a limited income. Hang in there.
It's nit an uncomw issue, my retirement accounts are plenty and very reliable.
It's an expectation issue.
I expect to get value for my money.

(2,077 posts)There are some great deals to be found on solid wood furniture as long as youre not picky about the style. Particle board always fails eventually, often in a rather spectacular fashion. You can probably also get an older model TV on Craigslist for next to nothing.
