Just got an email that stated: ''We've made it easier for Gemini to interact with your device'' ...

How scary is that?
Gemini Apps (Ai) will soon be able to help you use your Phone, Messages, WhatsApp & other utilities on your phone, whether your Gemini Apps is on or off.

What could possibly go wrong?

I don't want anyone or anything interacting with my phone, unless your calling me or sending an email or text message.
That all the interacting I want from outside my hands.

No!

Why?

Google is desperate to get us to use their AI before we get used to another one.

I grew up as a futurist. I loved the idea of intelligent talking computers.

Now, I just want this Brave New World to go away. (I'll bet every generation since the industrial revolution said that.)

My husband and I were going to an event.
I came downstairs wearing a new dress and asked him if he thought it was more flattering than the one I already had.

My phone answered "I cannot tell you whether your dress is more flattering because I cannot see it."
And then mansplained to me what flattering means and how to achieve it.

Damn! it was funny, but frightening,

Mostly I use it as a phone.

Sometimes I send and receive texts.
