Democrats who support Netanyahu are a great mystery to me.

Benjamin Netanyahu thumbed his nose at both Obama and Biden, and made it clear that he supported Trump over Harris. He is no friend of Democrats. Yet, there are liberals who, at the very least, seem to consider him a good-faith actor.

The pathological tend to seek power and they cheat.
The Republican Party is going too far for their corruption to be ignored, by the end of Trump the party may be over too.

Great things happened in Congress after the Civil War while the slave-holders were powerless. To that era we owe changes in the constitution which have allowed us to improve.

There will always be clueless people; laws must protect us. That's why every infraction of the constitution needs to be prosecuted when this is all over.

The Jewish people were scattered by the Hittites. Persians, Babylonians, Romans, ottomans, etc since shortly after they conquered the lands that previously held people that the Jewish people slaughtered and stole their land.

History has had dozens of groups who owned and lost this area of land.

The difference this time is that powers outside of the Middle East have meddled making conflicting promises to both sides since the start of world war 2. And now a failed real estate developer was elected president and will do Bibi bidding to build trump towers in the land they will steal.

The only time nukes were offensive in nature was when we were the only one's possessing them. Since then, they've become purely defensive. They're the ultimate insurance against regime destruction. Take me out and the ramifications are too horrible to contemplate, so just don't fucking do it. Same reason using them offensively is out of the question.

It's pretty simple to understood why Iran wants to join the nuke club. And Israel has certainly NOT given them any reason to deviate from that path. In fact, they might have accelerated the process in recent weeks. You think they stupidly left all their "stuff" in known sites? Not hardly. In one stroke, Nuttyyahoo and Donnie the Dumbass just made Israel less safe. And the US as well, thank you very damn much. If they had enough weapons grade material, making the actual weapons is relatively easy. Word is they just might have enough material. They've had functional delivery systems for some time now.

Now, what were you saying about chanting?

AIPAC is huge and it's incredibly rare for a candidate to win without their backing. It makes zero sense to go against AIPAC and we need to be known as the party that most effectively protects Israel and their interests.

Regardless of who is in power in Israel.

"Ironclad, unwavering and unconditional" support.

This unwavering support is why Israel acted with impunity while massacring and starving Palestinians - and continues to do so under Trump.

So it would be far easier and a much shorter list, to name the Democrats who refuse this unconditional support for Israel and demand some accountability and a modicum of human rights and international law protection for Palestinians.

Edited to add:
Since all but a negligible minority of Israelis support Netanyahu's policies vis a vis the Gaza war, the denial of statehood to Palestinians including ethnically cleansing them even from Israel - and now the war on Iran - it is actually fair to say that Israel is Netanyahu and Netanyahu is Israel. Ergo, Democrats' support for Israel equals support for Netanyahu.

I remember when I had my third child that I was occasionally distressed because if I had to grab my children and run, I only had two hands. Taking tours in England and Europe, the guides would show us "where they killed the Jews"- we had our children with us on some of those tours. Even the US refused to take in Jewish refugees during WWII - sending many to their doom.

Israel for me, just like the person you know, is the home base "safety" place for Jewish people. I think the persecution has been for so long and so intense that it has become part of our DNA.

I hate Bibi because he put our "homeland" at risk.
He puts Jews around the world at risk. I see that more and more.

Rabin was my guy - but you know what happened to him....fucking right wing ultra religious nut job.

BTW, my homeland is the US, not Israel - but I always thought that if things got rough that there was a place where I could take refuge.

Antisemitism defined: Allegations of Dual loyalty
https://www.worldjewishcongress.org/en/news/defining-antisemitism-dual-loyalty

The sixth example in the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance working definition of antisemitism addresses one of the oldest antisemitic canards, whereby Jewish citizens are accused “of being more loyal to Israel, or to the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations.”

Simply referred to as the “dual loyalty” charge, antisemites alleges that the true allegiance of Jews is to their fellow Jews and that therefore they are inherently disloyal citizens and cannot be trusted. In casting the Jew as the other, this antisemitic trope, which has existed for thousands of years, has been used to scapegoat, harass, and vilify Jews, and at times has even led to murder.
