now domestic production in national parks, and profit from it. OPEC will not like this bombing move very much.

Bombing oil fields and tankers will inflict a lot of domestic pain and pressure on Trump.

Even $5/gallon will have the American public howling for vengeance upon various OPEC nations. Over $10 and they'll start blaming shitty policies from F47 and the GOP, which would lead to, among other things, a widening margin of Democratic resurgence, which is unacceptable to them. So I'm thinking Congress forces through a loss-compensation package for the oil & gas companies to keep the retail prices below $10 as long as possible. $5-$10 works to their advantage. Over $10 does not. IMHO.

than we were in the past.... in fact, under President Joe Biden,
the United States produced more oil than ever...

There could be a little price spike,
but I doubt anything like you are imagining here.

That’s why people sit reading their phones with their engines idling, make long commutes alone to work and back, and buy enormous pickup trucks and SUVs.

Until these things change, we know that gasoline is still not expensive.

If anything they will up production to offset Iran, but it might not be needed because they sell almost all of their oil to China.

While OPEC does have enough capacity to entirely replace Iran’s production… much of that has to ride tankers through a choke point that Iran can threaten even in their weakened state.
