The battle of Home Depot. Being waged to protect

Us from the two or three middle aged men looking for a few hours of labor for a few bucks.
We have reached a level beyond absurd.

...of the many, many people that the economy needs to keep functioning. I do feel quite certain that this fact is really not that important to MAGA.

Of course, vastly bigger than I think it is. One person's mountain is another's molehill. It definitely does not invoke war powers acts or whatever moth-eaten, forgotten clause might be lying around to abuse.

Methinks that the insane income disparity is vastly more serious and debilitating (unlike cheap labor looking for day work) and in fact, if there were more equality in the world, people might migrate less to this country seeking a basic living wage.

I know of a young person in REDACTED country who supports a family by collecting and selling loose plastic bottles.

But there I go, blaming the cause instead of the symptom.

Politics is largrly poison. Especially the "fascist playbook" version.

Couple of minutes ago I read the thread about renaming warships. How would it be if every change of government, items were renamed to reflect the favour and sensibilities of the current governing (ruling?) party?

Schools, highways, libraries, planes, trains n automobiles. What else in the US is named after notable people? How utterly ABSURD it would be to rename them every election?

This is not good governance; it's fiddling while Washington burns. It's wasting time, money and goodwill. In short, it's absurd.

Is that none of these "Law Enforcement Officials" has arrested a single person for breaking the law by hiring them. You know, a crime that's demonstrably worse than ..... You know, the crimes most of these poor folks didn't commit.
(I know these folks weren't working at Home Depot) but the people hiring them were sure easy to identify, you know, the drivers of the trucks offering the actual work.

I just want to clarify that I'm no fan of destroying a segment of our economy that is probably somewhere in the 5-10% range of total GDP. I think of these meat packing plants and corporate farms that commit the following crimes every time they hire a undocumented worker.
State and Federal Tax Fraud, Unemployment Insurance fraud, State and Federal employment law violations, Minimum wage law violations in certain states, OSHA requirements for training and HazMat awareness laws etc...... I'm sure OmahaSteve could expound with much more clarity.

It is a civil offense.

https://www.nwirp.org/illegal-vs-undocumented-a-nwirp-board-members-perspective/

presence in the U.S. without proper documents is a civil offense, not a criminal one

https://www.dharlawllp.com/is-being-an-undocumented-immigrant-a-crime/

Being present in the United States without legal documentation is in itself not a crime. Though some of the ways of entering the US may be considered federal crimes, the act of being here without legal documentation is not considered a federal crime. There is a vast percentage (45%) of undocumented people that do not enter this country illegally. They may enter legally but may overstay their visa, work without authorization, etc.

Being an undocumented person in the US is only punishable legally if someone has already left or been deported and has reentered without permission. They may be subject to imprisonment of up to 2 years.

Anti-immigrant rhetoric and the rise of Xenophobia in the United States have led some to believe that undocumented immigrants are considered “illegal aliens” under federal law. This is not accurate. The term does not appear anywhere in the federal immigration and nationality act. A conviction of a crime may subject an immigrant to removal from the United States, even if he or she is a lawful permanent resident. In contrast, immigrants who are undocumented but have not been convicted of any crime are not referred to as “criminal aliens” under the immigration laws.

Undocumented immigrants still have constitutional rights, including the right to counsel if accused of a crime. The constitution uses the term “person” or “people” living within its jurisdiction,, not the word “citizen”. Many undocumented people are unaware that they even have these legal rights. However, they still have the right to equal protection of the law and that of due process (fair treatment in the judicial system).

when I see the protests in San Diego and it is black and white, no grey area. Either 99% support the protesters of 90% support the ICE assholes.

This is not a good thing and the fucking moron is golfing on our tax dollars. And this is EXACTLY what they WANT!!! EL TACO is thrilled. He craves violence and attention and he will use this to his advantage. If he personally planned the protests himself it couldn't have gone better for him and his MAGATS.
