She probably has no problem making a couple of thousand for those portraits. She's probably made a couple of hundred of these. Plus her fee and souvenirs, she's doing pretty well.

The crazed fundies have been with us for a long time. But you can’t ever forget that they are not Christians in any sense of the word. They are in an apocalyptic death cult dreaming their rapture dreams where all of us unbelievers are punished with violent death while they are raptured to heaven. Then because we’re not believers we’ll be sent to hell for all eternity. Sick. Violent. Yearning for the end of the world. These are profoundly sick people.

I went to college in a town that, at the time, had five bible colleges (down to three now I believe), the world headquarters of the Assembly of God, gave us Jerry Falwell… I had little patience with the fundies and was known to go off on them when they tried pushing their twisted beliefs into my face. Made a girl cry and her male tribal members quickly usher her the hell away as she sobbed when they tried hanging around the Brown Derby and doing some sort of “Christian” outreach when I was picking up a pony keg for a party. I’ve never been sorry.

Back then I was known on campus as a pretty radical left socialist and someone asked me how I could be so intolerant. I replied that I was only intolerant of intolerance.

Because these folks hate you. If you don’t believe as they do they want you to die painfully and then go to the fiery pit forever. If you doubt what I say just ask them. They’ll tell you that they hate you and think you deserve to burn forever.

Grew up as a Catholic and that was bad enough, but these people are on a whole nuther level. They’re now worshipping a person. How blasphemous is that? Just nauseating.
