DU lawyers.

My elderly brain is thinking qui tam is a potential goldmine given the thievery that is going in this fascist gangster government. Agree? Disagree?

There are a lot of good lawyers out of work, and they know people who know stuff.

under the False Claims Act on behalf of the government, and they'd recover part of the award. The problem is that the statute gives DoJ the right to intervene, and we know how that would end.

I submit that if they argue that they should intervene to dismiss a case that is "without merit" or worth some tiny amount, they will need to explain their reasoning to a judge. There'd be a lot of publicity they may not want. If someone is claiming a contractor is a crook, the Department of Justice should defend the contractor? Like most things MAGAT, that makes little sense.
