In the US soccer is a marginal sport at best because a match can last 90 minutes and end with a score of 1-0. If a basketball game in America ended with a score of 1-0, then there might be a riot, but soccer? Soccer? It is just a game, boys.

and only the second time in its 70 years that a French club has won it.
This, of course, does not justify a deadly riot; but it is exciting for fans.
