Are Our Veterans Going To be Cheering At Dear Leader's Parade

DOGE used AI to gut the VA. The program it used was flawed, this was admitted by the cyber-punk who used it. It must have been fun for the cyber-punks to gut agencies and people at the VA because they called it "munching."

The cyber-punk who used the AI program compared it to a GPS system in your car that tells you to drive into a lake, he simply stated, don't drive into the lake.

Making a joke about gutting care for our veterans. I hope that veterans understand what dear leader has done to them, but I'm guessing it won't hit them until it hits them.

His support among vets is staggering. I stopped going to the American Legion during his first term because they were sycophants. The same at the PLAV. It was/is terrible. The outward bigotry, and racism, as well as hatred towards democrats is uncontrollable at those places over here. The VFW is the same, although I rarely went there.

We need a new label for people who conflate racial bigotry with militaristic patriotism. I keep running into guys who believe being veterans justifies their racism.

I don't want to comment because it gets me worked up. Suffice to say, the bulk of members that go to the bars now are Vietnam era and younger (men and women), both vets and non vets. I don't remember this vitriol 40 some years ago when I was young and went with my grandfather who was a WW II vet. I will say no more.

and was admonished for painting vets with a broad brush, typecasting, etc. How did that pan out, you think?

Veteran halls are among the most misogynistic and bigoted places there are, full of accounts of how the flight line was never the same after women were forced into the ranks, how Jimmy Carter fucked up the hostage rescue.

Lots of vets will get really juiced up about the parade, even the ones who have lost or are about to lose jobs, access to benefits, and who know how Trump really feels about them. They are key cult members.

The women are onboard at these places just as much as the men 100%. There is no difference at all. The vets clubs by me are open to the public as well, as memberships can no longer support them alone. So it's open season.

against their own best interests, as do voters of all sorts. As long as people are freed to openly express their own hatreds and fears by a government that thrives on such negative energy, they will blindly lash out. Combine this racism and hate with growing, willful ignorance, and a mighty cult thrives.

Veteran groups are a perfect medium for growing such a cult. Hitler was a hate filled veteran of World War I who morphed into a political rabble rouser, supported by a street army of other disenchanted racist war veterans. History is a pretty accurate gauge of upcoming events.

a single shot being fired. The kissing of the ring by the military. Hegseth will bend over and put his lips on the ring and next inline will kiss his ass and everyone else in the parade will put their lips on the ass of the person in front of them. A miles long ring-kiss that could seen from space.

Or, ... June 14th could become a glorious day in history as the day the U.S. Army on its 250th anniversary honored their military oath to defend the constitution and arrest the fascist dictator and his henchmen as domestic enemies to the constitution and the country.

We all have our military service as a common element but our political views are as diverse as the American public.

I rather resent the implication that we are all right brain dead wingers.

think their hats hide their bigotry.

Proud to be a veteran who stands for liberty and justice for all and who still honors the oath I took - especially about "domestic enemies".

But organized veteran groups are a hot bed of Trumpism. Sorry to say it, as it makes no sense to me that groups like the VFW or the Legion, at both national and local chapter levels, are so enamored of this selfish prick and his cronies.

My former golfing buddy would let me know what he was paying for his meds and his 7 dollar epi-pen that he carried in his golf bag.

It will take a while for the cuts to the VA to trickle down.

the parade route -- like a Mussolini or Hitler -- and salute throughout? Or will he ride on some military apparatus or "float" -- as a central Commander in Chief figure? He's doing all this to star on TV.

I was in the 101st Airborne in Dec. 1985 when Reagan did a Division troop review. We just did an eyes right command as he passed by and made no comments or cheering.

Enjoy the suck.
