Trump Declares Negative Polls "Rigged"

Trump took to Truth Social Friday morning to denounce recent polling from The New York Times and The Washington Post, calling them “rigged” and “corrupt as hell.” Trump claimed the surveys oversampled Democrats to suppress Republican performance, declaring it “not possible for a Republican to do well” in such polls.

Without citing specific data, he insisted that the “real polls” show him performing better than ever and repeated his false claim that he won the 2024 election in a “landslide,” including sweeping seven swing states and the popular vote. In reality, Trump won the electoral college with only 49% of the vote, and more people voted against him than for him in 2024.

Trump’s continued attacks on polling and media outlets reflect a familiar strategy of discrediting unfavorable coverage and sowing doubt about the democratic process.

... have depressingly moved in his direction. And there haven't been updates to polls from NYTimes "Select Polls" (i.e., deemed relatively valid) this month.
