completely on the "up and up". When I heard "$25,000.00 Bondi" reading all kinds of things that supposedly the grand jury found like participating in a murder but yet there are no charges it was plain to me that all of this other stuff was in there in order to "dirty him up" as much as possible. She claimed these were all grand jury findings. But only the least of any charges?
Also the way she laid it out it seemed that this is all mostly on the word of some other guy that they busted. So if that guy was looking for a "get out of jail free card" he knows about the uproar over Garcia and that the goons of Crumb the 1st have egg on their face and their privates in a vice legally. So the guy making up a story to implicate Garcia is a real possibility. It's also a real possibility that someone from DOJ/DHS/FBI etc. originated the scenario for the guy they busted and then offered it up to him in a deal if he would swear to it.
I believe nothing these people say. Ever. I listened and heard her snappy, snotty tone and attitude. She even made the mistake of saying "when he is convicted" and then later on said "if he is found guilty" or similar phrasing. Her first shot out of the gate was he will be convicted, sentenced and then returned to El Salvador. No presumption of innocence in her rhetoric until somebody probably slipped her a note or a whisper. Along with throwing this out on a Friday afternoon so they can spin all weekend and then refuse to answer questions or produce information.
They now seem to be claiming he made over 100 trips of trafficking etc. and they even threw the child porn thing in there but to the best of my knowledge a grand jury indictment usually only speaks to what is being charged. But when you have people in DOJ/FBI etc. with evil and corruption as their foundation like a Bondi or Blanche etc. then this is the kind of thing you get.

(92,267 posts)The US Attorney General Pam Bondi just handed Judge Xinis yet another reason to continue to find the Trump Administration and DOJ in contempt, with her press conference announcing that the Trump Administration knew how to return Armando Garcia from El Salvador after all over the last 60 days,. Popok takes a close look at the threadbare criminal indictment in Tennessee used by Trump to cover his latest TACO move, and explains what Judge Xinis is going to do next in her efforts to hold the Trump Administration accountable.

(30,925 posts)Maybe he is the worst person in the world. Maybe he isn't.
The point was that they threw him out of the country and into an El Salvador max prison without any trial or ruing by a judge and jury. A right given to ALL PEOPLE that are on US soil ( not just citizens ). Legal resident or not, he had a right to have a trial.

(7,408 posts)just goes along with what one would see in Russia, Turkey, Iran, North Korea etc. When they have someone who has become a "problem" for them they get "creative".

(4,061 posts)The judge that accepts either is as corrupt as the rest of the 'administration' (I use the term under protest, hence the quotes).
Federal rules of procedure do not allow for this kind of sloppiness.
(I'm not an attorney, don't even have a formal legal education, but I have been around very knowledgeable attorneys, and investigators, my entire career, so I've picked up a few things).

America is no longer the country that it might have been in the past.
Emphasis on "might" - because it obviously would depend on your ethnicity, color, sex, or religious persuasion.

(10,644 posts)My questions is why do they let all of the other embarrassments roll off of their backs but not this one?
The only answer is their hatred towards POC.

(16,109 posts)and wins! They will really be eating shit then. This charge, which should have been looked into a couple years ago, stinks to high heaven.

(7,408 posts)and I don't know, given a grand jury indictment, how a preliminary hearing would go as far as entertaining such a motion from the defense. I just don't know how that all works now with an indictment. I don't know if there is such a thing as the judge ruling on probable cause since that would seem to overlap somewhat with the process of using a grand jury. Maybe it can be a thing or not. Maybe one of the legal beagles here could weigh in about how to get it dismissed before trial when a grand jury has indicted.

(15,318 posts)but it sounds like half this shit will get tossed by the first judge who looks at it. Federal judges do not let you get away wpiling on.

He will get his day in court, due process will be served. Whether he is found innocent or guilty, that is what is important.

the total corruption of both the White House and the Justice Department. There is no reason to believe any of these charges without hard and convincing proof.
Proof that they almost certainly do not have. When all of this finally comes out, I hope Bondi lives a long, long life behind bars. Not that it would ever actually happen.

(6,453 posts).... certainly it is one sided - all indictments are. But it does not seem to be a sham.

He gets his day in court, which is what we were fighting for. Now it's up to him to defend himself. The way I see it, it isn't our fight anymore.
reACTIONary
(6,453 posts)..... there is a child endangerment thing, because (they say) kids were transported laying on the floor of the car, rather than seated.
Here is the indictment: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.tnmd.104621/gov.uscourts.tnmd.104621.3.0.pdf
I think the path forward should be to point out that the rule of law won, that due process will be served, and.... It is now up to HIM to defend HIMSELF in the court of law. We won our battle, it is no longer our battle.

(2,178 posts)This is a giant CYA on the Gov's part. The thing is, because of all of the publicity, Garcia will have the best lawyers possible. Money wont matter, because they want to take down this whole charade. Due Process MUST survive. I worry that they will use this grand jury bullshit to pressure him into a settlement. One that will guarantee his silence about what is going on in that El Salvadoran hell hole.
To all of the idiots in this admin that said Garcia was NEVER coming back, what say you now?
