3. Sadly, propaganda works

I don't know if I ever told you this before, lastlib.

I have a family member who would send me anti-Obama emails back in 2007, 2008.

Anyway, they would send me these emails and I would go debunk the lies. I would send an email back with the truth and the links that debunked their lies, not only back to my family member but to everyone they emailed the lies too as well.

My family members entire goal was to get me to vote against Obama or not vote at all. I'm sure that these propaganda emails worked for most of the email recipients.

The more ant-Obama emails they sent, the more I debunked and the more I liked the man.

At that time, I was a Democratic voter but I didn't really pay attention and I only voted in presidential primary elections. I was like who's Barack Obama?

Receiving these type of emails changed my entire perspective of politics. It changed me. I pay attention and I vote in every election now.

The total opposite happened of what my family member was attempting to accomplish.
