I thought it would be pretty difficult since I ordered from Amazon a lot, but with the pandemic, so many places now have just as good -- if not better -- shipping.

Free next-day shipping seems antiquated when you can have local places deliver within a couple of hours.

Either local or for a shipping fee far less than I was paying for prime.

Good riddance.

I deliberately order things separately, one thing at a time, even if I have four or five items that I want/need to buy at the same time so they can't combine shipping and/or delivery. Even of it's a toothbrush on Monday, a box of Q-Tips on Wednesday, and toothpaste on Saturday (not real purchases - just for example). For a real example though, I needed to replace two worn toilet seats, for two identical toilets, with the exact brand/model that are currently installed (so I knew they would fit). I ordered one last week and next week, I will order another. There was no price-break for ordering two at a time so it's no "skin off my ass". But I'm hoping it is "skin off Jeff's ass". I don't know if this is accounted for in the monthly Amazon billing or not, but I'm keeping track of the monthly charge to see if it goes up or not. I've been doing this for a few months now and so far, it hasn't...

My thought was that those trucks run 7-days a week anyway and I am a committed and almost "radical" recycler. Plus, I need the boxes as I'm hoping to move soon. The postal charges are the real cost and if it goes at least partially to the USPS, good. But yes, that part did concern me as well.

The truck comes down my street every day, so I'm just adding a stop. It used to make 4 or 5 stops a day on my block, but lately it's been 1-2 stops. Guess my neighbors are cutting back too.

I've also noticed recently that I get a lot more spam ads from Amazon in email than I used to. And they're pushing on TV ads how good they are for small businesses. They must be feeling some heat.

I won't admit to liking it, but I did watch. It's a great looking show, however stupid.

My husband likes the streaming services so I haven’t completely cancelled but haven’t ordered anything since November 5th. I’ve been buying from eBay and Temu. No Whole Foods for me either

Will be interesting to see their next quarterly earnings.
