Accelerationism

Accelerationism is a new concept to me, but it seems to be an influence on some of the Trump Regime behind the scenes, so I have been trying to familiarize myself with it a bit.

Also, I wonder if the Pennsylvania assassination attempt on Trump was intended to act as an acceleration event. The shooter was apparently a Right Winger. Why would someone from the Alt Right try to shoot Trump? Maybe to spark the conflict that many of them are waiting for.

Anyway, here is a link to the Wikipedia article on Accelerationism for anyone that might be interested in it--

This is a link to a Frontline episode where I first learned of the right wing version of the term "Accelerationism". The right wing idea is to accelerate social change and destruction of the social order by individual acts of violence and terrorism. The idea is to destroy the existing social order to usher in a white ethno-state.

...a number of causes, the leaders of which seem to be ok with the gamble even if they don't end up at the pinnacle once the dust clears.

Maybe (probably!) the result isn't a "white ethnostate," but the Thiels and Musks -- and those who don't want/need to be as visible -- they see the chaos as an opportunity to grab what they can and simultaneously, like the first free drug dose from a dealer, install the infrastructure (Starlink, Palantir, ?) to maintain their hold.

At a lower or more regional scale, theocracies can enforce their dogmas and practice their abuses. And as long as they don't get too greedy or demanding, they can serve as sub-contractors of the repressions that benefit those few at the top.

Yeah, it's been that kinda week.
