A Reminder: the US Marshals Service is under the Judicial Branch

If arrest warrants are handed out by the judge in the case of wrongly deported Garcia, then they will carry out the warrant orders, not the DoJ. There is a good chance that they will need to face arresting members of the DoJ and the current Executive.

It's the enforcement and security arm of the U.S. federal judiciary, but it is an agency of DoJ and operates under the direction of the AG.

The AG would not be able to block it. The Marshals must comply with legal orders and can ignore illegal orders. What is legal is defined by the judge and the judicial, not the AG.

I can easily imagine AG Barbie telling the marshals to stand down and ignore a judge's orders.

If they honor their oath then they will ignore Bondi and follow the court, especially if the order is to hold the AG in contempt. Bondi is way in over her head.

It would be illegal for her to do so and Marshals must obey orders from the court.

"The U.S. Marshals Service is a bureau within the Department of Justice and receives direction from the Attorney General through the Director of the United States Marshals Service."

Who controls the DOJ? That would be Trump.
