Although USMS personnel also handle the custody of defendants in federal court, a judge's order to hold a Noem et.al. defendant in custody until Noem et.al. comply with a federal judge's order might get appealed to SCOTUS.

Say that while that was happening, Bondi might also withdraw some or all of USMS presence in that court.

We've got 3.5 years ahead, and in the context of the DOJ and federal courts proceedings, things could go from non-compliance to ugly to dangerous.
