Tariff on fireworks

Aren’t all or most fireworks made in China?

Maybe we won’t be subjected to as many loud neighborhood fireworks during the summer holidays.

This is about the only positive thing about the Idiot’s tariffs

But they are also extremely cheap to make and fairly cheap to ship and import. The retail mark up on fireworks is high, something like 300-500% or higher. So the tariff cost, in absolute dollar amount per item, may not be that high and the margin is there that some places may absorb some of that cost.

I’ll bet there will be Chinese fireworks galore. Paid for by the U.S. taxpayer, of course.
