1. All true back when there was an active SEC and DOJ

Because someone has to investigate, and someone has to bring in the prosecutors. There is no enforcement now.

4. It's worse than that: all Martha Steward did was sell one stock in a bio/med company ...

... when the President of that company told her that the FDA was announcing in a few days it was not certifying the drug Martha had invested in the company for.

She made not much if any money but she sidestep a $400,000 loss. She did not delay due process, and pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to a real jail, she made use of her being inside and never ever lied or cried about it.

Contrast that with what most others do when they start playing loose with the market.

I didn't care much for until she did the right thing for her crime.

6. And Martha Stewart has actually contributed to the thriving of the US. MTG is tearing it down.

I didn’t quite like Martha Stewart at first either because I’m so shitty with housework, etc. but her perfectionism was fascinating. After her demonstration of patriotism, through personal sacrifice, she is aces in my book.

7. Actually, Stewart did not go to jail for insider trading.

She was convicted of conspiracy to obstruct, of obstruction of an agency proceeding, and of making false statements to federal investigators. She was not charged criminally for insider trading, but rather for making materially false statements to her own investors about why she sold ImClone shares. That charge -- securities fraud -- was dismissed before trial. She was separately named in a civil case brought against her for charges that included insider trading. Those charges were settled two years later by the payment of a fine of $195,000 and her agreement to a five-year ban on serving as a director, or as any other officer responsible for preparing, auditing, or disclosing financial results, of any public company.

I stand corrected: there is a difference. Still, there is no doubt that MTG stands to unjustly benefit from this most unethical and corrupt action, necessitating an immediate, bipartisan investigation.

9. Netflix's Martha

I watched a recent Netfliz documentary about Martha.

Jim Comey (asshole) went after her because so many republicans were doing corrupt shit.
The men in Martha's life done did mean men things to her.

She built an empire when the men folk would not let her in.
Flimsy testimony, back stabbing.

It was a sham. And a woman hating fiasco.

What the GOPers/fascists are doing right now, well there's some serious crime-ing going on.
