I was a Clinton delegate to the 2016 National Convention. We had a program of all of the speakers and I also got alerts from my Clinton campaign whip as to any Sanders protests of speakers they were going to attack (it was sad that there were planned deliberate attacks on speakers such John Lewis, Elijah Cummins and even Stacy Abrams).

I saw Mr. and Mrs. Khan on the program and was really surprised by how much I loved their presentation.

Nine years ago this year, Donald Trump attacked Gold Star parents Khizer and Ghazala Khan. He will NEVER understand our military’s service and sacrifice to this nation.

They gave the ultimate sacrifice, their son. I am grateful for people who are true to their convictions and even though American exceptionalism is a lie, they still fight to make this country better.
