Packed up the car with neighbors and headed to the protest in East Tawas. Very truthfully wasnt expecting much of a turnout
maybe 30-50 brave souls. This is deep red country. By an actual head count there was 183 people. Started a little slow but grew quickly.
Plenty of support from passing cars
thumbs up or waving
raised fists in solidarity. Of course, some middle fingers, some very macho truck noises from revving as they went by.
My wife and I volunteered to talk down any hecklers
but surprisingly there were no incidents. We had a blast interacting with our own people. Friends were made.

(16,061 posts)Bad Axe. More people than the organizers expected. Lotsa a honking cars and only an occasional "Trump" and a middle finger from a passing noisy pick up truck. All in all, it was good! And no rain.
