Vix is over 40 and CNN's Fear and Greed Index is down to 4, which is practically pegging it in Extreme Fear.

I don't have any stocks - Thank Heavens, but I do watch the markets.
Forget the R word, and think Depression. We could well be heading into one that rivals the Great Depression, maybe even surpasses it.
If our Social Security was privatized, we'd soon not have any.
This is the sort of thing Social Security is supposed to protect our retirement money from. It is why we have SS to begin with.

In the meantime, buy a small safe and keep as much of your savings in it as you can.

I built a dog house, I bought a Big Dog, I withdrew my money and buried under my dog house.😁

Actually during Krasnov's 1st term I move most of my investments into cash and bonds.

Still considering rolling up to see some friends in the Willamette Valley...

Canada's a short drive away from there...

We rolled to Tofino last time and spent time in a hand built rustic multi story log cabin within a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve on Vancouver Island.

about the economy. Especially in light of the deficit monster tax cuts for billionaires. This tax cut in conjunction with the Tariffs (or the tax cuts alone) will kill the US.

They were warned. Leading financial magazines had articles warning that would be the outcome if Trump got back in. This is so stupid. It is being done on purpose. The republicans could impeach him right now. The house could stop the tariffs. They are afraid of a dementia patient. Wait until the armed to the teeth magas wake up.
