Ohio Valley states are being flattened by tornados. I did not hear a word about that from Trump. Where is FEMA? Oh, wait...It has been DOGEd. I forget.
Oddly enough, many of the states that are suffering through this week's punishing storms are states that voted overwhelmingly for the orange toad. Has he forgotten them so soon? So it seems.
I'll bet some folks are pissed. Real pissed.

The hate is strong with these folks. Wish it wasn't the case, but I grew up around these "the south shall rise again," idiots. They will go to their graves and never utter a disparaging word about the orange hemorrhoid.

My entire life of activism, going back to when I was nine and my father smacked me and called me names I didnt know the meaning of, for protecting vulnerable kids at school, it only stiffened my spine against bullies and mean people.
Thats why when I grew up and ran for office, organized protests, marches and rallies, etc., I believed they usually ended in some success.
One of the most memorable events was meeting and talking with Congressman John Lewis as we marched together in Atlanta promoting the Americans with Disabilities Act and particularly the rights of those with low vision and blindness. Ended up in the photo cover story in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. It was breathtaking to march beside Lewis.
And when I trained my Saint Bernard as a Comfort Therapy dog and visited kids in schools, churches and shelters in the Midwest states who had lost parents and homes from devastating tornadoes, it felt like I might be making a small difference.
Now, the contrast of feeling powerless and fear are sometimes overwhelming, no matter what actions we take.
Sending love and light to those suffering from a disaster without FEMA. I just pray that all our efforts will bring change soon.
Lets see what happens tomorrow with Hands Off!
