Trump's erratic behavior affects us all

There is no escaping this asshole. I spend 50 weeks a year in the Philippines as a permanent resident (13a visa). I spend 2 weeks in the US (Boston). My retirement income and my annuity (like a 401k) are still in the US.

My annuity gained $65,000 USD under Biden, mostly in the last 2 years of his term. Since the beginning of Trump's term, I have lost $22,000 USD in that same annuity in just 50 days.

Now, I'm not looking for sympathy, since I'm better off than most, but nobody who is not a millionaire enjoys losing $22,000.

I have Social Security, and my fear is not that it will go away, but the cuts in personnel will make any changes, such as address or bank accounts, more difficult for recipients. I have done my Social Security business over the phone, and I have found the workers that I interacted with competent and helpful. I believe they won't cut Social Security benefits, but they may make it hard to access.
