I'm met Chris who's fighting in the Ukraine war for the last 3 years, at the protest Sunday in Atlanta. He came to meet Cliff Cash , I don't know if any of you saw it but he also went Sunday night to our Veteran Town Hall and spoke at the end of the night.
In the beginning of the Ukraine war, he at first was doing 20 to 22 hours driving missions going to retrieve children that have been stolen by Russia. He didn't want to stop because if he stopped that might mean that one or two didn't come out.
If you look up Cliff cash you can see one of his videos talking to Chris and you can see a little bit more about what he does. Since he's done that, he has received some threats to his life of course as has Cliff Cash.
Chris plans on returning soon to the Ukraine to continue his fight he only came home because he had pneumonia.
Funds are very limited for what they are doing and sometimes they don't have the tools that they need or the parts that they need to replace things so he's had to make parts. One day books will be written about him and others that were brave enough to go over there and fight in a war that he might not come home from.
If you see fit to help their cause you can donate to , (no amount is too small.) He is very grateful for any amount as just the smallest amount goes pretty far there.

(22 posts)His accounts were heartbreaking. We know what's happening, but to have Chris present an eloquent firsthand account of specific acts of heroism by him and the Ukrainians and the barbaric assaults by Putin's Russians was breathtaking.
I lived in Kyiv for a year a while back, and I can't get my head around what's happening to people I know there, and that the US, under a tyrant, is aiding and abetting Putin and mocking the courageous leader of Ukraine, a sovereign nation once again trying to defend itself from the heinous leaders of Russia.
Stalin starved millions of Ukrainians because they wouldn't bow to his will. The United States should be doing everything in its power to support Ukraine now. Instead, we have a tyrant who admires the Russian way of doing things. It's sickening, disgusting corruption. But what do you expect from a criminal psycopath . . .

(625 posts)Even harder for you because you have a special tie to it, I can't even imagine. I've never been to Ukraine but it's obvious when the war started that Putin the aggressor. I've always hoped that Ukraine would succeed and I heard about people like Chris that were going over there to fight alongside Ukrainians.
It was so inspiring to me, I cannot imagine not making money stopping my job going into debt in order to fight for another country. He's a unique human being and I'm grateful to say he's an American because we as Americans right now don't look that great.
Everyone thinks we put him into office, I didn't realize till after Cliff cash left town that he also thinks the election was stolen. One of the veterans that I spoke with that had years of experience also said they've been thinking that from the beginning as well. I've always thought it was so, I feel better being in Good company.
Thank you for the thoughtful reply.
