Making Helene a political issue, Mike Johnson and his Republican Congressional buddies want to "wait" to meet about

increasing the funding for FEMA aid.

Well, there you have it. Everyone in the affected area, the majority of whom are Republicans, is being used as a political football as Johnson wants to wait to provide aid that is needed immediately. I realize a lot of power is down, and communications are limited, but there needs to be a way to get the message to the people of North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Virginia and Tennessee that the Republicans are more interested in the udget than they are in their recovery.

And, there is another storm heading thru very warm Gulf water, where it will likely turn into another really nasty hurricane and is likely headed into the biggest swath of Florida.

The GOP pols rely on misery and misinformation. We can hope knowledge will make the irrelevant. We can help that along by sharing real information about how they exploit misery of their own voters.
