Is it a coincidence that in recent years News Corp's media assets like Fox News and Sky News Australia have increasingly started to push conspiracy theories and pushed Russian propaganda? Perhaps this is a Putin specialty of grooming the 1 percent.

The fifth wife of media mogul Rupert Murdoch is a retired molecular biologist whose ex-husband Alexander Zhukov and former son-in-law Roman Abramovich are prominent Russian oligarchs.

The 93-year-old Australian-born tycoon married Russian-born Elena Zhukova, 67, in a private ceremony at his Bel Air estate, Moraga, on Saturday.

Unnamed sources who have met Zhukova told The Sydney Morning Herald, owned by an Australian company rival to Murdoch, that she is "intelligent" and "charming," as well as someone "who knows her way around the corridors of extreme wealth and power."

She had previously been married to Russian-born financier Zhukov, who has lived in London since 1993 and is the founder and major owner of the international investment group Interfinance.

If you search in Youtube for articles that might appeal to young men like MMA, fire arms or bikinis, you will probably get links to right wing political articles. But what will really be odd is that many of these articles are coming from Sky News Australia. Not only is Sky News Australia biased, but it is prolific. If you were to search for Biden senile, you can find hundreds of clips from...Sky News Australia, which is odd given that this is supposedly an Australian news site.

Almost 38 per cent of Sky News' digital audience (YouTube, Facebook and Twitter) comes from the US compared with 26 per cent in Australia. The Sky YouTube channel pulls in 100 million views a month through chopped-up clips from its 24-hour news coverage. It also posts an average of 1700 videos a month to its 1.4 million Facebook followers. The ABC, by comparison, posted 155 videos to its YouTube channel over the past seven days.

Thus, Murdoch and Russia are trying to capitalize on the fact that many people are drafting away from traditional sources of news like print or TV, and are instead gravitating towards social media and facebook, which will recommend content based on one's search history. Likewise, the search parameters give a high priority for trending stories, thus there is an incentive to create redundant clickbait labels regardless of the accuracy of the story. Thus, sensational, conspiracy laden stories will tend to have an advantage.

Thank you for the reminder, TomCADem on Murdoch's nuptials. It certainly explains the relatively often bias towards far-right extremism in Murdoch's publications/media.

CNN wrote an article 9/26/2024 about a secret hearing on Murdoch's will, because Murdoch wants only one son to carry on the Murdoch fortune -- Lachlan. Murdoch is concerned his other 3 children would direct media away from far-right extremism. Pity.

Murdoch, like most every Media Oligarch in US is a Knight of Malta. Same as high-ranking Knight Leonard Leo, and Knights Alito, Roberts, Erik Prince, Joseph Schmidt, John Bolton, etc. US Knights of Malta have an approx. combined wealth of $100T. Plus, most of Trump's Project 2025 architects or planned implementers are also Knights of Malta.

Murdoch, like most every other Media Oligarch in US also benefitted heavily in 2014 when fellow Knight of Malta Alito removed Media donor caps so Media Moguls could buy legislation, and lawmakers. You can see this trend by doing an annual timeline of the Mogul corporate, and then personal growth in the years before, and after 2014. After 2014, both Media corporate, and Mogul net worth spiked to unprecedented profit/net worth.

These 2 reasons, plus the fact that most all Knights of Malta have special elite military background, or extensive coup background, lead me to believe that Knights of Malta only exists for Knights of Malta's personal vendettas, rather than a Catholic non-profit to "benefit the masses."
