Trump just announced a new rally in Duluth, Georgia with Charlie Kirk, the head of Turning Point, a MAGA Republican organization based in Arizona. Turning Point is an official partner with the Trump campaign.
The rally will be held near Atlanta, MLK's hometown and the church that he pastored, Ebenezer Baptist. The date of Trump's rally will be held on October 23rd, the birthday of MLK's son and outspoken Trump critic, Martin Luther King III.
Kirk's group has been promoting Trump online, at events, and has been knocking on doors for Trump in swing states. The group is promoting the newly announced Georgia rally on social media.
MLK's second born son has been critical of Trump, stating the GOP nominee "is only encouraging division and hatred," displays "blatant racism and misogyny," and is a dangerous extremist.
