Why are we, collectively as a nation, locking ourselves into a suicide pact with Trump?

He shouldn’t be an option ….period, full stop.

He is an entire catalog of psychological mistakes. His deviancy is like some sort of tar paper that he has slapped us with and we can’t get free of it.

Normalizing him and letting him run roughshod over our society is just bonkers on our part.

He is very much a Tom Clancy villain who would be of short duration because he would be so unbelievable as an evil foil for some patriotic hero.

You wouldn’t leave your (pick one) wife, child, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, human with self respect and personal dignity alone in a room with him. He’d grab something he isn’t supposed to. Then he would brag about it and then deny it ever happened and then sue the person he assaulted because they weren’t his type. No human is his “type”. He is a one off prototype whose mold should have been dropped in a dumpster.

Everything he touches is worse for the experience. Nothing good happens to anyone around him. No president has had as many associates charged and/or convicted of crimes than him. He is a convicted criminal. He corrupts the very air, exhaling bile. He threatens any and all who would oppose his demonic destiny. Like a sulking skulking beast, he roams the nation darkening the doors of decent people, rending the 250 year democratic experiment to pieces.

Enough is enough people. We don’t deserve this dark odyssey of horror that is Trump and MAGA. Let there be light!

There just has to be an element of protest vote out there that makes up a large portion of the Trump voters: "Life is impossible the way it is, so what do I have to lose?" I seriously believe there is some of that going on. Which, in the long run, is just self-defeating because there is no way in the world that Trump is going to help those people improve their lives. It is total insanity in plain sight.

This election shouldn't be close. 2016 and 2020 shouldn't have been close.

There are a lot of angry people in this country. To a certain extent, I don't blame them for being angry. The middle class has been hollowed out for various reasons, mainly corporate greed. I think a lot of Trump voters use elections to take out their frustrations.

There are a lot of easily persuadable people in this country. I mean plain ignorance. They bought into Trump's BS.

The world outlook is bleak.

Climate, terrorism, poisons in the air and in the food ... the list goes on.

So, some folks think we should end it all. And take you and me along with them.

Of course it could be the Rapture, but that's a kind of death wish too.

They built his base by creating a propaganda factory that spew hate and any lies necessary to sustain it. This is the result - a monster that had power over them.

They have had numerous opportunities the end this - at a what would have been a small an temporary political cost, but lacked the courage to go forward.

to remove the aforementioned self from a society that would choose such a person to be their leader. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. It’s up to you, America.

Maybe it's some kind of collective death wish.

I've been thinking about this off and on for years.
